An Australian national, Rohan Max Fitzgerald, has died while vacationing in Kuta on Sunday at around 4 p.m. The 29-year-old male was found unconscious, lying across the toilet of the restaurant at Bounty Hotel. Rohan had been staying in the hotel since Jan. 29 and was booked through until Feb. 10.
Rohan was immediately taken to Bali International Medical Centre (BIMC). After 30 minutes’ treatment, Rohan was pronounced dead. Head of the crime section at Kuta Police precinct, First Insp. Wahyu Setyo, told Bali Daily that the police had found no indication of violence on Rohan’s body.
However, Wahyu said that police had yet to make any conclusions as to the cause of death. “We need an autopsy to know the cause of the death,” Wahyu said. When asked for confirmation, general manager of Bounty Hotel, Sven Remo, said that it was suspected that Rohan had had a heart attack. “His friend, who was staying in the same hotel room, said that Rohan had heart disease,” Sven said.
